Rooted in Tradition Since 1922
R.W. Griffin was founded in 1922 by Ralph Griffin in Douglas, Georgia, following his return from Naval service in World War I. Drawing on the agricultural roots established by his father, Moses Griffin, Ralph built a business that would grow steadily through the decades.
Despite the challenges of the Great Depression, the company endured and continued to expand. After Ralph's passing in 1967, leadership passed to his son-in-law, Rowan Evans, and later to his grandson, Ralph Griffin Evans.
Under Ralph Griffin Evans’ direction, the company experienced significant growth, evolving from a single-location operation into a diversified enterprise that includes 21 retail stores, two cotton gins, multiple liquid terminals and manufacturing facilities, bulk storage warehouses, a grain facility, and four peanut buying points.
Today, R.W. Griffin remains a family-run business, proudly overseen by the Griffin family.

We Put Relationships First
Agriculture is built on trust, and so are we. We believe in doing business the old-fashioned way—through honest conversations, keeping our word, and being there when it matters most. Your success is our reputation, and we take that seriously.
We Bring the Best to Your Operation
From exclusive products to expert agronomic guidance, we're committed to delivering solutions that work. We don't just sell products—we help you make informed decisions that improve yields, protect investments, and build long-term profitability.
We're Rooted in Your Community
For over a century, we've been neighbors, not outsiders. We understand the challenges you face because we live them alongside you. Our teams are local, our knowledge is local, and our commitment to Georgia and the Southeast runs deep.
We're Built for the Long Haul
Four generations in, we're still here—and we're not going anywhere. We invest in innovation, maintain strong partnerships, and operate with the resilience and foresight that come from thinking in seasons, not quarters. When you grow with RW Griffin, you're partnering with a company built to last.
Company History
RW Griffin was built on the values of hard work, trust, and a deep respect for the growers we serve—principles first established by founder Ralph Griffin. That legacy was carried forward by his son-in-law, “Bunny” Evans, and today lives on through Bunny’s son, Ralph Evans, who now leads the business with the same dedication to local agriculture. What began as a family venture remains one to this day, with Ralph’s children, cousins, and extended family working together across the company. That family connection isn’t just a point of pride—it’s a promise. A promise to honor the legacy of service, to stand behind the farmers who feed our communities, and to keep relationships at the heart of everything we do.
